As some of you may already know, I have decided to accept an offer from politico.com and will begin my new position there on September 5th. As I’ve been telling people around the office, this was a very difficult decision for me!
My last day at UMUC – Tuesday the 4th – is not a coincidence. I wanted to make sure that I finished the ARS Flash Training I have been conducting for the past month and just couldn’t see myself missing the very last day when everyone will share their projects.
I would like to take this chance to thank everyone I have been able to work with during my four years at UMUC, both those here now and those whom have left us over the years. I was so fortunate to branch out to so many people in so many different departments while I was here – CMNT (CVU), the TV Studio, Course Dev, CSI, CIP, CTL, ILS, SUS, GSMT, Webcomm – even Marriot… it was truly such a wonderful experience to meet such a varied and talented group of people throughout the university, as expected of UMUC. I hope that many of you will keep in contact after I leave.
I am especially thankful to those within OISS who were able to find places for all of us from CMNT when it was dissolved in May. It was really nice to feel welcomed and needed at a time like that and I’m still amazed how much I have learned from everyone at Course Development in the short 2-1/2 months that I’ve been there.
Take care and thanks for everything. I will miss you all!
